Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Hanover Brethren in Christ Church (HBIC) is to love God, strengthen families, and serve others.  Simply put, HBIC is a place “where faith, family & friends come together.”  We envision a  church which lifts up the name of Jesus, which genuinely cares about people, and which reaches out to those in need locally and abroad.  We truly want to know what it means to be followers of Jesus Christ!

HBIC is here for you! We are a church full of caring people who come together to celebrate Jesus as King.  We study the Bible, practice what we learn, and, in the process, grow in our faith and in relationship with one another. We are not perfect, but simply on a journey to learn what it means to be followers of Jesus Christ.  Take the journey with us and let’s grow together!

Our Style

We meet in a traditional building, but we are anything but traditional.worship

Our music is contemporary in nature with a mix of the latest choruses and more popular old hymns.  Often, our hymns take on a more contemporary flair as well.  We worship with a full band including guitars, drums and a keyboard.  We use a projector for displaying songs for worship including any hymns we use.

Our services are relaxed and honest.  People come dressed in what they are comfortable in.  The styles range from jeans to more formal outfits for both men and women.  Our services generally last for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.  The teaching is real and practical so it can be applied in everyday life.

Our church as whole is extremely friendly and outgoing.  You will find yourself among friends from the moment you enter the building.  We treasure people and work to build strong relationships together!

Our Leadership Team

Our leadership team is a group of individuals who recognize the authority of God and realize they serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. There is only one full-time staff person at HBIC, and that is our pastor.  The passion and goal of the leadership team is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Many wonderful people in our church family serve in various positions and ministries throughout our church. They are too numerous to list here. Those listed below have more prominent exposure week-to-week, but this in no way diminishes the awesome service others in our church family are doing, including others who serve on the Leadership Team.  For a more complete list of all that Hanover Brethren in Christ offers, please visit our ministries page.

Brian Casale, Senior Pastor

As the full-time senior pastor at HBIC, Pastor Brian strives to practically unpack the truths of Scripture every time the church meets.  He and his wife, Jane, have been married for 22 years. Jane currently serves as head of the Nursery Ministry as well as supporting Pastor Brian in all he does. They have one 16 year old son named Drew who is currently in 11th grade and home schooled. Pastor Brian has been faithfully ministering the Word of God for 27 years in various positions and locations, including planting a church in Lexington, Kentucky.  In 2009, Pastor Brian and his family returned to their family roots in PA after being away for 19 years. He has also recently returned to his roots in the Brethren in Christ Denomination and calls it a dream fulfilled. Pastor Brian is passionate about seeing God’s people grow in their daily walk with Him and seeing their lives full of God’s purposes.
